Isorhoifolin attenuates cadmium-induced hepatotoxicity by modulating TLR4/MyD88/TRAF6/NF-κB and Nrf2/Keap1 pathways: a biochemical and histological study
Results showed that Cd exposure substantially downregulated BCL-2 mRNA expression, upregulated the apoptotic proteins BAX and CASPASE-3, and caused severe histopathological damage, but IRF attenuated all the above-mentioned damages and preserved hepatic tissue architecture.
Overall, KM showed promising therapeutic properties against Cd-instigated cardiotoxicity in rats via restoring antioxidant status as well as suppressing inflammation and apoptosis.

Introduction Cadmium (Cd) toxicity is one of the major public health problems because of its long half-life (10–30 years). Exposure to Cd can cause toxicity that affects several organs, including the liver and the kidney. Saroglitazar is highlighted in this study as a potential preventative medication against hepatic-r...

Cadmium (Cd) is a highly toxic compound that induces deleterious effects on living organisms and causes multi-organ toxicity, including testicular damage. Kumatakenin (KMK) is a flavonoid with potential antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The present study was designed to assess the protective effects of KMK...

It is found that Cd promoted lipid accumulation, disrupted lipid metabolism, and thereby induced renal immunosuppression, and LBP effectively alleviated Cd-induced renal injury, suggesting beneficial effects against Cd-triggered nephrotoxicity.

Interestingly, the LYP co-administration abrogated the CPM-induced oxidative stress, proinflammation, apoptosis, and DNA fragmentation and indicates that LYP supplementation may protect the kidney from oxidative stress-related attacks of CPM.
