MAPLE-RF: Efficient Probabilistic RF Source Localization in Partially Explored Environments

This work studies single-snapshot transmitter localization on partially explored maps and compares two approaches that output a posterior over transmitter locations, and concludes that digital-twin approach is more accurate on most single-snapshot metrics than MAPLE-RF.

Iterative Likelihood-Ratio Detection for Transmitter Localization and Radio-Map Reconstruction Under Very Sparse Spatial Sensing

Automated spectrum management systems such as radio dynamic zones must infer where transmitters are and what the spatial spectrum usage looks like within a frequency band from only a handful of monitoring sensors. This paper presents an iterative likelihood-ratio detection pipeline that first performs localization from...

Research on an extended Kalman filter-based method for autonomous localization and mapping of AGVs

With the rapid development of industrial automation and intelligent logistics, the autonomous navigation and localization accuracy of automated guided vehicles (AGVs), as core equipment in automated transport systems, directly affects logistics efficiency and operational safety. To address insufficient AGV localization...

Localization method integrating single-station long-baseline PDOA and multi-station TDOA

Passive localization plays an important role in electronic warfare and target surveillance. Conventional single-measurement approaches based on Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) or Phase Difference of Arrival (PDOA) often suffer from limited positioning accuracy and poor robustness. To address the phase ambiguity probl...

Developing a Precise Location Tracking Algorithm Using Ultra WideBand Technology

This paper presents the design and performance evaluation of a low-cost Ultra-Wideband (UWB) indoor positioning system tailored for short-range localization. The inherent limitations of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) in indoor environments, particularly signal attenuation and multipath interference, necessi...

Enabling Passive Localization with a Single Moving Receiver through Periodic 5G Reference Signals

Passive Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA) localization conventionally requires multiple synchronized receivers to obtain spatially diverse observations. In this paper, we show that the periodic nature of the 5G NR downlink Positioning Reference Signals (PRS), combined with receiver motion, provides an alternative sourc...
