Abstract
Web interfaces are widely used to access network services and manage networked devices. Identifying the vendors and types of devices behind Web interfaces is a critical step in asset inventory, security management, and risk assessment. Device identity cues are dispersed across page text, configuration fields, and management functions, and interpreting them often requires linking related Web objects. Responses and objects require different amounts of semantic analysis, so exhaustively processing all candidate content can introduce unnecessary computation. We present ValQID, which uses a relation graph to combine dispersed device identity cues, evaluates semantic questions efficiently with DSEJEV, and accounts for complementarity among semantic questions when estimating computation value. Based on the current identification state, ValQID weighs each question group's expected identification benefit against its execution cost and adaptively allocates computation to identify device vendors and types. Evaluation on real Web response data shows that ValQID achieves relative gains of up to 47.1% in joint macro-F1 and up to 82.1% in macro-F1 for low-frequency vendors over a state-of-the-art method. DSEJEV speeds up semantic processing by up to 8.58 times compared with general-purpose language models.

This work proposes a HALO that directly maximizes the utility of generations instead of maximizing the log-likelihood of preferences, and suggests that the best loss depends on the inductive biases most appropriate for a given setting, an oft-overlooked consideration.
This work investigates the possibilities of using LLMs in a resume screening setting via a document retrieval framework that simulates job candidate selection and finds that the MTEs are biased, significantly favoring White-associated names in 85% of cases and female-associated names in only 11.1% of cases.
This work shows that orders of magnitude enhancement in performance could be obtained by a combination of hardware improvements and tight quantum-HPC integration and introduces high-performance architectures for quantum-probabilistic computing with custom-designed accelerators to tackle today's industry-scale classical...
