Phylogenetic analysis of 15 complete chloroplast genomes strongly placed A. maxwellii within clade CA‑II as sister to A. kachinensis, supporting monophyly of lineages SEA, CA‑I, and CA‑II.
Abstract
Abstract Amorphophallus, valued for glucomannan-rich corms and ornamental value, includes A. maxwellii Hett (1994), a tuberous geophyte from southwestern Thailand adapted to seasonally dry tropical biomes. We sequenced its complete chloroplast genome: 179,466 bp with a typical quadripartite structure (LSC 94,917 bp, SSC 15,775 bp, IRs 34,387 bp each), containing 128 genes (83 protein-coding, 37 tRNAs, and 8 rRNAs), and 34.13% GC content. Phylogenetic analysis of 15 complete chloroplast genomes strongly placed A. maxwellii within clade CA‑II as sister to A. kachinensis, supporting monophyly of lineages SEA, CA‑I, and CA‑II. This genomic resource facilitates evolutionary and stress-tolerance studies in Amorphophallus.
Abstract Amorphophallus mossambicensis (Schott ex Garcke) N.E.Br 1901, distributed from Tanzania to southern Africa in arid shrubland and deserts, had its complete chloroplast genome assembled to resolve its phylogenetic position. The genome was 168,728 bp, comprising LSC (90,388 bp), SSC (14,572 bp), two IRs (31,884 b...

Abstract Veratrum dolichopetalum O.Loes. (1926) is a perennial herbaceous plant in the family Melanthiaceae that is geographically restricted to northern Korea and the Ussuri River basin of Russia. Here, we present the first complete chloroplast genome of V. dolichopetalum, which is 153,673 bp in length and contains 82...

Abstract Taxillus sutchuenensis var. duclouxii, a shrub-like hemiparasitic plant with medicinal value. This study sequenced, assembled, and annotated the chloroplast genome of T. sutchuenensis var. duclouxii using Illumina high-throughput sequencing. The genome exhibits a typical circular quadripartite structure, with...

Abstract We determined the complete chloroplast genome of Chrysosplenium insularis, an endemic species of the Republic of Korea. The genome was 152,689 bp with a typical quadripartite structure: a large single-copy region (83,587 bp), a small single-copy region (17,098 bp), and two inverted repeat regions (26,002 bp ea...

Abstract This study first reported the complete chloroplast genome of Thalictrum przewalskii Maxim. and analyzed its structure and phylogeny. This circular double-stranded genome is 155,922 bp long with a GC content of 38.4%, containing an 85,347 bp LSC region, a 17,613 bp SSC region, and two 26,481 bp IR regions. A to...
