PG-APMoNet v1.0: Model source code, trained weights, and supporting research materials

Sep 2026 · Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research)

Abstract

This record provides the frozen PG-APMoNet v1.0 model and supporting materials for the manuscript “PG-APMoNet v1.0: a physics-guided differentiable forward model for active–passive microwave observations of the ocean–atmosphere system”. The release consists of two archives: 1. PG_APMoNet_v1.0_model.zip contains the model source code, frozen trained weights, normalization parameters, inference scripts, example inputs and expected outputs, and a user guide. It supports the profile-resolved passive, compact-state passive, and surface-only active configurations. 2. PG_APMoNet_v1.0_paper_materials.zip contains figure and table source data, data-split information, model configuration and training summaries, training and evaluation scripts, and the 50,000-state physical-reference library, including atmospheric profiles and passive–active query targets. The packaged model has been evaluated on the original internal development-test set using the original sampling, normalization, and validity-mask procedures. Results agree with the archived experiment results to numerical precision. The scope and limitations of the supplied materials are documented in the README files and user guide. This release does not contain every historical training run or the complete satellite-data processing workflow. Sources of third-party data are identified in the accompanying documentation and manuscript. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses and terms of use. The software source code is licensed under the MIT License. Author-created data and documentation are licensed under CC BY 4.0. Third-party materials retain their original licenses and terms of use. Atmospheric profiles and associated surface variables were selected and reformatted from the NWP SAF 2025 diverse CAMS 137-level profile dataset described by Turner (2025), based on forecasts covering March 2024–February 2025. Contains modified Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service information (2024–2025). The European Commission and ECMWF accept no responsibility for subsequent uses of the Copernicus information included in this release. The impact of agile practices on communication in software development

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

Agile methods in European embedded software development organisations: a survey on the actual use and usefulness of Extreme Programming and Scrum

The results show that the embedded industry has been able to apply agile methods in its development processes and that the appreciation of the agile methods and their individual practices appears to increase once adopted and applied in practice.
