STRATEGIC ASPECTS OF BRANDING MANAGEMENT IN MODERN BUSINESS
Abstract
In today's highly dynamic business environment, characterised by digital transformation, rapidly changing consumer behaviour, technological innovation, and intensified market competition, a brand has become one of the most valuable strategic assets of an enterprise. Effective brand management is no longer limited to maintaining a stable market image but increasingly requires continuous adaptation to external changes, flexible decision-making, and the integration of digital technologies into strategic management processes. Under these conditions, adaptive brand management has emerged as a promising approach that enables enterprises to maintain competitiveness, strengthen customer loyalty, and ensure long-term brand sustainability. The study analyses contemporary theoretical approaches to strategic branding and identifies the key factors that determine the need to transition from traditional brand management to an adaptive management model. It is well established that a modern brand performs not only marketing functions but also serves as a strategic intangible asset that contributes to building customer trust, differentiating products and services, strengthening corporate reputation, and ensuring long-term enterprise competitiveness. A conceptual model of adaptive brand management is proposed, based on the principles of continuous environmental monitoring, market diagnostics, risk assessment, strategic planning, implementation of branding activities, performance evaluation, and continuous strategic adjustment. The model demonstrates the interrelationship between strategic, tactical, and operational levels of brand management and emphasises the importance of feedback mechanisms for maintaining brand flexibility and resilience in a constantly changing market environment. Particular attention is paid to the systematisation of adaptive branding instruments, which are classified into analytical, communication, marketing, organisational, managerial, and digital groups. The research demonstrates that the integrated application of market analytics, reputation management, digital marketing technologies, CRM systems, omnichannel communications, big data analytics, and marketing automation significantly improves the effectiveness of branding strategies. Furthermore, the implementation of these instruments enables enterprises to respond promptly to environmental changes, personalise customer interactions, optimise communication strategies, and enhance brand value.
