Abstract
The article examines the issues of efficient use of the resource potential of agricultural organizations (AO) as a basis for sustainable development of the regional agro-industrial complex. Using a typical farm in Stavropol Krai as an example, a comprehensive approach is tested, including: assessment of the structure and efficiency of resource use; calculation of a sustainable economic growth model determining the permissible rate of revenue growth without disturbing the economic equilibrium; justification of tactical measures to optimize the structure of property and sources of its formation. Structural imbalances characteristic of the regional agricultural sector are identified: a high share of non-current assets, a significant volume of inventories, and low resource productivity. The proposed measures allow for cash flow and increase liquidity ratios, but do not solve the systemic problem of low marginality. The need to combine internal reserves with regional support measures – cost subsidies, preferential lending, and the development of cooperation – is substantiated. This will improve the efficiency of using the total resource potential of AO in the regional agro-industrial complex.
