Abstract
Environmental patrols in national parks and hard-to-reach areas expose police teams to isolation, rugged terrain, communication constraints, and delays in specialized support, increasing the complexity of casualty care and evacuation. This study analyzes tactical prehospital care, search and rescue, and biological-risk response guidelines applicable to remote rescue operations, with emphasis on operational planning. This qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory study was conducted through a literature review, documentary analysis, and examination of an audiovisual record related to the study object. The findings indicate that effective response depends on integrating terrain assessment, communications, pre-established evacuation routes and extraction points, continuing training, and mission-appropriate equipment. Particular attention is given to the flexible tactical litter as a lightweight, compact, and rapidly deployable evacuation resource, while recognizing its limitations when spinal injury is suspected. The study concludes that systematizing these measures may improve team safety and response capability and support a practical proposal for the Military Police of Paraná, without replacing medical care or specialized rescue services.
