Abstract
This dataset accompanies the study “AI-Generated Content Use and Perceived Quality-of-Life Benefits: A Multimethod Analysis of Decision Outsourcing, AI Dependence, Identity Crisis, and Perceived Risk.” It includes anonymized item-level survey responses from 725 adult AIGC users in mainland China, a data file prepared for configurational analysis, the Chinese questionnaire, an English translation of the questionnaire, and documentation of the sample, analytical settings, calibration anchors, and reported results. The accompanying analysis and data documentation file explains the contents and interpretation of these materials.
The method, ECCOLA, is presented, which aims at making the high-level AI ethics principles more practical, making it possible for developers to more easily implement them in practice.
