Abstract
This article reflects on psychological complexities of the hyperconnected learning landscape where there is ubiquitous digital integration and prolonged connectivity online. Based on a synthesis of empirical and theoretical research, this article examines the impact of continuous digital immersion on cognitive functions (attention, memory, executive function) as well as on emotional well-being and social development of learners. The study identifies some of the phenomena that have become substantive in such environments, like digital fatigue, cognitive overload, fragmented attention, and academic disengagement as being among the challenges facing these environments. The social and emotional aspects of hyperconnected learning are also discussed, such as contradiction between digital connectivity and social isolation, loss of face-to-face interaction skills, the psychological stress of being under the pressure of constant online performance. Lastly, the paper presents balanced technology usage concepts, such as digital minimalism, mindfulness-based interventions, and pedagogical approaches that incorporate digital well-being to achieve healthier and more successful learning.

Based on the 2020–2025 peer-reviewed literature,...
