The rapid growth of social media use among students has had a significant influence on the development of their religious attitudes. This topic was selected because the prevalence of social media use is often not accompanied by adequate digital literacy and religious understanding, potentially affecting students’ religious behavior. This study aims to theoretically analyze the influence of social media on students’ religious attitudes and formulate strategies to strengthen them. The method employed is a library research approach using a descriptive-analytical framework through an exploration of theories of communication, psychology, and Islamic education. The findings indicate that social media functions as an agent of socialization that can either strengthen or weaken students’ religious attitudes, depending on the type of content consumed and the intensity of its use. Furthermore, strategies such as transformative learning, character education, and digital citizenship are considered effective in consolidating religious attitudes in the digital era. In conclusion, social media has a significant influence on students’ religious attitudes and requires responsible management through educational approaches. This study contributes to the development of a digital-based model for strengthening students’ religious attitudes.
