CONTINUOUS TEACHER TRAINING AND ITS IMPACTS ON THE QUALITY OF SCHOOL PEDAGOGICAL MANAGEMENT

Sep 2026 · Revista de Estudos Interdisciplinares · 0 citations · 3 references

Abstract

This article analyzes how continuing teacher education affects the quality of school pedagogical management. Professional development is understood not merely as individual updating, but as a process that reshapes collective planning, instructional monitoring, assessment, pedagogical coordination and decision-making. The study follows a qualitative, bibliographic and documentary approach based on specialized literature, Brazilian educational legislation and national and international research evidence. The argument is that professional learning produces stronger effects when it is continuous, connected to actual school problems, collaborative and supported by pedagogical leadership able to convert teachers' learning into institutional routines. Recurring limitations are also examined, including fragmented programs, discontinuity, workload pressures and weak evaluation. The article concludes that continuing education improves pedagogical management when it becomes part of the school's institutional project and is linked to diagnosis, planning, classroom observation, feedback, pedagogical use of data and monitoring of learning results.
