Digital Marketing and Social Media
Abstract
The emerging capabilities in AI have revolutionized the world of social media marketing, particularly how businesses personalize and strategize for social media in the inflow of huge amounts of data, most importantly the optimization of influencer collaborations. Hence, this research paper attempts to construct a research framework drawn from the Stimulus–Organism–Response Model that seeks to establish whether the use of AI-enhanced marketing stimuli affects consumer engagement, personalization, and return on marketing investments. Furthermore, the proposed model is supplemented by the Technology Acceptance Model that explains how people use AI-marketing platforms. Results show that user engagement, on a general level, and purchase intentions can be positively influenced through the use of highly sophisticated AI-based personalization techniques, as well as evaluative credibility by the earned influence.
The method, ECCOLA, is presented, which aims at making the high-level AI ethics principles more practical, making it possible for developers to more easily implement them in practice.
