Three‑Dimensional Time (3DT) Natural Philosophy: A New Cognitive Paradigm for Spacetime, Gravity, Light, and Energy

Oct 2026 · Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research)
Relativity and Gravitational Theory

Abstract

Human cognition of the universe has long been confined within a single intuitive framework: three‑dimensional space and one‑dimensional, unidirectional time. All modern physics, optics, gravitation theory, and energy systems are built upon this “single‑dimensional time” foundation. While this framework explains the conventional world, it fails to account for persistent paradoxes: why gravity is extraordinarily weak compared to other fundamental interactions; why light manipulation remains bound to material media; and why human technology cannot achieve compact, celestial‑scale field control. This paper proposes an original Three‑Dimensional Time (3DT) philosophical framework that redefines the structure of time, the nature of gravity, the constraint of light, and the storage of energy. It does not employ mathematical derivation, quantitative prediction, or claim the status of rigorous physics. Instead, it offers a speculative reconstruction of the universe’s underlying logic. The core thesis is that time is not a line but a volume; that gravity is not a product of mass but an overflow from hidden temporal dimensions; and that advanced technological capability lies not in manipulating matter, but in modulating the projection of higher‑dimensional time structures into our observable spacetime. AI‑Assisted Statement:This philosophical manuscript sorts out and organizes the author’s original ideological logic. All core viewpoints, conceptual frameworks and creative conjectures belong to the author Shen Yang.
