Abstract

EL-RAKHAWI NEURO-CONDUCTIVE BIO-PROGRAMMABLE SPIDROIN THREADS (NCBPT)Author: Dr. Mohamed Kamal Arafa El-Rakhawi A paradigm-shifting patent disclosure transcending natural spider silk through three integrated innovations: hybrid protein engineering, AI-guided topological folding, and programmed self-healing—creating intelligent biomaterials that conduct neural signals and autonomously repair. Core innovation: The Spidroin Perfection Index Equation (strictly bounded [0,1]):$$\Psi_{silk} = \left(\frac{\mathcal{C}_{crystal}}{\mathcal{C}_{max}}\right) \cdot \left(\frac{\mathcal{K}_{conduct}}{\mathcal{K}_{max}}\right) \cdot \left(\frac{\mathcal{H}_{heal}}{\mathcal{H}_{heal} + \mathcal{D}_{damage}}\right)$$ This dimensionless metric quantifies holistic material perfection via three bounded fractions: topological crystallinity (beta-sheet structure), neural conductivity efficiency, and self-healing capability. Four-stage architecture: (1) Genetic Design of hybrid spidroin with conductive peptides, thermally responsive motifs, and neural adhesion sequences; (2) AI-Controlled Extrusion via smart nano-spinneret with real-time Raman/SAXS monitoring; (3) Material Characterization (mechanical, electrical, self-healing); (4) Clinical Validation (biocompatibility, in vivo implantation). Four testable predictions: (1) >95% crystallinity achieving >1.5 GPa tensile strength; (2) >0.85 neural conductivity enabling >5mm neurite extension; (3) >95% self-healing in 30 minutes at 37°C with physiological moisture; (4) 24-month biocompatibility without chronic inflammation. Applications: Neural repair ($15B+), cardiovascular prosthetics ($25B+), soft bio-robotics ($8B+), advanced textiles ($12B+). Comprehensive IP protection: 5 original constructs attributed, Berne Convention copyright, perpetual moral rights. All rights reserved. Full citation: El-Rakhawi, M. K. A. (2026).
