Abstract
Continued use of traditional procurement method hampers the adoption of innovative, and sustainable procurement practices capable of enhancing operational efficiency and long-term institutional performance. This research investigate the relationship between Green Supplier Selection (GSS) and flexible sourcing practices (FSP) in Nigeria Maritime University, South -South Region. The total population of the study comprised of 1,252 employees, using taro Yamane formula to determine a sample size of 303 employees. A descriptive survey research design was employed in the research, and a stratified random sampling technique was applied in the distribution of the survey to the participants including- procurement officers, internal auditors, logistics managers, administrative staff, and heads of departments. Copies of 303 questionnaires were distributed out of which 281 were returned, while the remaining 22 were not returned and utilized for the study. Both descriptive, inferential statistics, and Pearson correlation techniques were utilized in testing hypotheses to determine the relationships between the variables. The findings indicates a high association between green supplier selection (GSS) and flexible sourcing (FLS) based on responses from the participants. The study recommends university management to prioritize local sourcing and encourage investments in indigenous manufacturing firms to reduce dependence on foreign products such as office equipment and machines.
Limited knowledge and awareness on green procurement policies among procurement officers, end users, and suppliers constitute obstacles to its effective implementation. The study investigates the relationship between product life cycle monitoring and real- time data sharing in Nigerian Maritime University. The total population of the study comprised of 1,252 employees, and sample size was determined using taro Yamane formula and calculated as 303. The study employed a descriptive survey research design, and a stratified random sampling technique in the distribution of the survey to ensure optimum allocation of survey to each stratum. The study population includes: procurement officers, internal auditors, logistics managers, administrative staff, and heads of departments. Out of 303 questionnaires distributed only 281 were returned and utilized while the remaining 22 were not returned and utilized for the study. Statistical tools such as descriptive, inferential statistics, and linear regression were used to analyze the hypotheses at 5 % significant level. The findings showed that the combined use of life cycle assessment and real-time visibility has a significant impact on better organizational and environmental performance. The study recommend that university management should organize regular training programmes to improve skill development of lecturers, researchers, technical staff, and students on LCA software (e.g., SimaPro, OpenLCA, GaBi) and real-time visibility technologies.

The number of rival companies expanding both locally and globally, companies not only have to reestablish themselves to produce higher-quality products and services, decrease waste and are able to respond to the market but also to handle their supply chain management efficiently. The main objective of this paper is to examine the relationship between supply chain management practices and the performance MSMEs in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. The study adopted survey research design in order to collect relevant data from respondents in the field comprising the target respondents who are employees of MSMEs in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. The population of this study comprised of 1,120 MSMEs in Nasarawa State and sample size of 354 MSMEs. Purposive sampling technique was utilized to administer the questionnaire to the respondents. 354 structured questionnaires were distributed but 321 were returned representing 91% retrieval rate. This study adopted multiple linear regression analysis facilitated SmartPLS version (v) 4.1.1.6. The results of this study revealed that strategic supplier partnership had a significant effect on the performance of MSMEs. The findings showed that customer relationship management has a significant effect on the performance of MSMEs. MSMEs should identify their top 3-5 critical suppliers and establish formal partnership agreements that include quarterly joint planning sessions, shared performance metrics, collaborative cost reduction initiatives, and joint innovation projects. MSMEs should invest in an affordable CRM platform (such as HubSpot, Zoho, or Salesforce Essentials) and establish systematic customer engagement practices including monthly check-in calls with key accounts, quarterly satisfaction surveys, personalized communication based on purchase history, and a formal customer feedback loop that informs product/service improvements.

This study investigates the relationship between risk communication practices and employee performance in selected logistics firms in Nigeria, focusing specifically on DHL and Red Star Express. A survey research design was employed to collect quantitative data without manipulation of variables. The study population comprised 2,461 employees engaged in operational and riskrelated roles, from which a sample of 344 respondents was determined using Taro Yamane’s formula. Respondents were selected through a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Pearson correlation in SPSS version 26. The findings indicate a strong and positive relationship between risk communication practices and employee performance, with a Pearson correlation coefficient (r) of 0.603 and a p-value of 0.000, significant at the 0.01 level. This result led to the rejection of the null hypothesis, confirming that effective risk communication significantly influences employees’ efficiency, decision-making, and overall productivity within logistics firms. The study concludes that structured communication strategies are critical for enhancing employee performance and organizational effectiveness. Accordingly, it recommends that logistics firms prioritize comprehensive risk communication frameworks, utilize formal communication channels, and actively engage employees in feedback and risk-related decision-making to strengthen operational resilience and performance outcomes

This study examined the moderating role of innovation in the relationship between supply chain management practices and sustainability performance among manufacturing firms in the North Rift Region of Kenya. The study focused on lean, resilient and green supply chain management practices. An explanatory cross-sectional research design was adopted. The target population comprised 500 senior, middle and lower-level managers from manufacturing firms operating in the region. A sample of 222 respondents was selected through stratified random sampling, and 207 completed questionnaires were returned, representing a response rate of 93.2%. Primary data were collected using structured questionnaires based on a five-point Likert scale. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics, reliability and validity tests, correlation analysis, multiple regression and hierarchical moderation analysis. The findings showed that firm sustainability performance had a mean score of 3.9855, while lean, resilient and green supply chain management practices and innovation had mean scores of 4.0491, 3.7005, 3.8068 and 3.4839, respectively. Reliability coefficients ranged from 0.751 to 0.898, indicating acceptable internal consistency. Regression results showed that lean, resilient and green supply chain management practices had positive and significant effects on sustainability performance. Innovation also had a positive and significant direct effect and strengthened each practice-performance relationship. The final model explained 90.8% of the variance in sustainability performance. The study concludes that manufacturing firms may achieve stronger sustainability outcomes when supply chain practices are supported by innovation capabilities.

The primary goal of this study was to investigate the impact of strategic flexibility on
organizational performance at Niger Mills Ltd, Calabar. In other words, the study aimed to find
out the influence of resource flexibility, operational flexibility, and technological flexibility on
organizational performance. Descriptive survey research design was employed in this study. The
population for this study is the total number of employees working in Niger Mills Ltd, Calabar.
The population for this study was all 375 employees working in Niger Mills Ltd, Calabar
regardless of their positions in managerial and non-managerial level and irrespective of whether
they work in production departments, administration department, technical operations or other
departments within the organization. With the help of the Krejcie and Morgan (1970) sample size
determination table, a sample size of 191 respondents was determined. Simple random sampling
technique was applied to provide every member of the population an equal chance of selection for
the study. To collect primary data, structured questionnaire was developed based on Likert scale
of rating from strongly agree to strongly disagree. For data analysis, descriptive and inferential
statistics were used, whereas multiple regression analysis was performed using Statistical Package
for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 27.0. Resource flexibility has a positive and statistically
significant impact on organizational performance. Operational flexibility has a positive and
statistically significant impact on organizational performance. Technological flexibility has a
positive and statistically significant impact on organizational performance in Niger Mills Ltd,
Calabar. These results imply that Niger Mills Ltd becomes more productive and efficient when it can flexibly utilize its resources, adjust its processes, introduce relevant technology and train its
employees.

The primary objective of the current study is to establish the impact of marketing consultancy services and operational consultancy services on the growth of small and medium scale enterprises in Kogi State, Nigeria. The need for the study emanated from the realization that most SMEs lack good market exposure, customer interaction, proper organizational practices, stock control measures, and usage of modern operational facilities. The study employed an exploratory survey research design. The total population comprised 725 registered SMEs' owners/managers in Lokoja metropolis, Kogi State. The Krejcie and Morgan table was applied to arrive at the sampling size which is 254, out of which 230 questionnaires were collected and analyzed. The data collection tool used was a structured questionnaire, and analysis was done through descriptive statistics and multiple regression using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS version 27.0). The results indicated that marketing consultancy services had a positive impact on SME growth but the contribution was quite minimal. On the other hand, operational consultancy services had the highest impact among all the consultancy variables considered in the study. In conclusion, the study found out that marketing and operational consultancy services positively influence SME growth through customer targeting, pricing, promotion, processes, efficiency, productivity, stock control, and ICT usage. Therefore, it was suggested that SMEs need to improve their marketing and operational consultancy, especially in digital marketing and technology use.
