Lineage-specific regulation and RNA-associated functions of SATB1 in mature B-cells

Jul 2026 · bioRxiv · 0 citations
Biology

TL;DR

It is shown that Satb1 expression in mature B cells is controlled by alternative promoter usage and splicing, with promoters P1 and P3 dynamically switching upon LPS-induced activation, while P2 remains transcriptionally silent.

miRNA-mediated regulation of lineage plasticity in YY1 knockout pro-B cells

It is suggested that YY1 preserves B cell identity through coordinated regulation of transcriptional and post-transcriptional programs, with YY1-dependent miRNA networks contributing to the maintenance of B cell-associated gene expression and restriction of alternative lineage programs.

Actin-related ACTL8 localizes to the nucleus and modulates locus-specific transcription through chromatin regulation

It is shown that ACTL8 surprisingly localizes to the nucleus of spermatogonia in human testes and breast and lung cancer cells, and Mechanistically, it is found that ACTL8 interacts with KDM5B, an H3K4 demethylase and transcriptional repressor, and this interaction contributes to changes in migration.

Post-transcriptional regulation of Profilin-2 by microRNAs and RNA-binding proteins forms a critical regulatory node for early embryonic cell fate decisions

It is demonstrated that post-transcriptional regulation of the Profilin 2 (Pfn2) transcript is essential for differentiation of embryonic stem cells into the primary germ layer lineages and revealed the Pfn2 microRNA-IRE regulatory axis as a critical post-transcriptional regulatory node governing the switch from plurip...

Are components of the histone gene expression machinery functionally repurposed in terminally differentiated cells?

It is shown that in muscle and neural cells that have ceased to replicate their chromatin and permanently exited the cell cycle, HLBs are dismantled and NPAT, FLASH and Lsm11 are detected in the cytoplasm, suggesting that in postmitotic cells, NPAT and U7 snRNP become repurposed for functions unrelated to generating hi...
