Abstract

Facing the demand of new power system construction, the application of low-power wireless communication technology in smart grids has gradually shifted from the auxiliary support link to the key infrastructure level. Differentiated requirements for delay, reliability and energy consumption in different business scenarios, this paper constructs a multi-dimensional evaluation framework based on “coverage capability transmission performance power consumption characteristics deployment mode”, and systematically compares and analyzes typical wireless technologies such as LoRa, NB-IoT, 5G and Bluetooth. On the basis of combining the characteristics of typical engineering applications, the main bottlenecks of current technology in strong electromagnetic environment adaptability, protocol interoperability and lightweight security mechanism are summarized, and further explore the development trend of multi-technology integration architecture and layered bearing mode. The research results show that the application boundaries of different wireless communication technologies in smart grids have obvious structural differences, and the construction of a hierarchical and collaborative integrated communication system is the key path to improve the reliability and scalability of the system. This paper provides analysis ideas and theoretical reference for smart grid communication technology selection and system optimization.
