Abstract
In this article, the author examines one of the main problems in modern Russian medical education, namely, the lack of a unified, scientifically based system for assessing the quality of practical training for nursing students. The current system for assessing the quality of knowledge leads to subjective evaluations of nursing students’ skills by teachers and a discrepancy between the educational process and the realities of clinical practice. Based on the research, the author has developed a model that represents a holistic, organized structure consisting of four interconnected blocks: the goal block, the subject — object block, the instrumental — technological block, and the result — correcting block. Objective. Developing a model assessment system for objectively analyzing and monitoring the quality of practical work performed by students studying in the 34.03.01 Nursing program. Results. Improving the objectivity and reliability of instructor assessments of students’ practical training, reducing variability in assessments between different
groups of students and different instructors, and increasing student motivation to systematically practice and improve acquired skills. Conclusion. The developed model is characterized as a holistic and organized structure that integrates goals, subjects, objects, a pool of assessment tools, organizational mechanisms, and management decisions.
