Abstract
China has abundant bamboo resources, among which Yunnan Province is one of the regions with the greatest number of species. The unique natural and geographic advantages provide an excellent environment for fungal growth. This study collected and isolated saprobic hyphomycetes associated with dead bamboo in Yunnan Province, China. Based on detailed morphological comparisons and multi‐locus phylogenetic analyses of combined LSU, ITS,

sequence data, the new isolates are introduced here as a novel species,
Hyalinostachys dehongensis
in the family Stachybotryaceae of Ascomycota. A complete description, morphological illustrations, and phylogenetic analysis results for the new species are provided. In addition, this species is introduced here as the second species since this genus was introduced in 2020.
This study represents the first record of Hyaloambispora species from Guizhou Provinces, China, further expanding the known diversity of freshwater fungi in these regions.

A new species, Vararia subtropica, from Yunnan Province, SW China, is described and illustrated based on morphological characters and phylogenetic analyses. Vararia subtropica is characterized by the cream to buff hymenial surface, a dimitic hyphal system with generative hyphae with clamp connections, and cylindrical,...

A new species in Adustochaete is revealed and the species diversity of Auriculariales in China is enriched, which should help protect and sustainably use fungal natural resources.
These findings expand the known diversity of Veronaea and underscore the significance of freshwater and terrestrial woody substrates as reservoirs of novel fungal taxa.

Morphologically, the new species differs from D. olivaceosporum by its dark black to olivaceous-brown conidia, composed of 15–32 cells arranged in 4–5 rows, and lacking conidial appendages.
