Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare and Education

Abstract

Project narrative for a proposed pilot study of generative-AI-driven clinical decision support and automation (GenAI-CDSAS) to support implementation of the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) for mental health in primary care. This is a grant narrative (a research plan), not a report of results: no data have been collected. Posted as is; cover letter, administrative forms and the research-team section have been removed. The reference list is included. Abstract: Using the Discover, Design/Build, and Test framework, the project plans interviews, surveys and workflow observation with patients, providers and administrators, followed by co-design of a prototype and a simulation experiment comparing three ways of presenting AI recommendations (black-box, narrative, and critical-interaction), with outcomes on usability, appropriateness, trust, implementation readiness and human-AI synergy.
