Abstract

The article presents the results of an action-research project that aimed to model and validated the contributions of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) AI as a learning resource in the core curricular lines of the social work formation process. The research responds to the need to model the inclusion GenAI as a learning resource in the university training of disciplines focused on human connection such as social work . Worked with a section of 18 students from the fourth semester of the course, selected by non-probabilistic sampling for convenience A cycle of four work sessions with GenAI was carried out, which was compatible with the training activities of the theoretical-methodological curricular lines of Social Sciences and theoretical-practical social work carried out in the selected subject. The expected results were oriented towards obtaining definitions with GenAI support, collation reflections, GenAI support in writing professional documents and methodological mapping. The validation of GenAI as a learning resource is concluded, with support from teachers and students. In addition, it is confirmed that social intervention occupies a central place in vocational training, which displaces AIGen from an assessment of centrality initially assigned by the digital native student generations, towards a limited and complementary contribution position that adds to the repertoire of available learning resources.
